The ownership of Pharmacies in New South Wales Australia is restricted to Pharmacists.
The Pharmacy Act requires the Pharmacy Board to maintain a Register of Pharmacies in New South Wales, this includes registering the ownership and address of the pharmacy and approving the premises. The Act provides for submission of applications for change of ownership fourteen (14) days before acquiring an interest in a pharmacy.

Applications for Pharmacy Board consideration
Applications for Pharmacy Board consideration are to be received at least ten (10) days prior to one of the Board's monthly meeting. The Board's monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month.
